The disintegration of society begins with the follies of youth…should we question the “way it’s always been done?” or question the reasoning of “Because I said so?”; absolutely…but what if the way YOU want it done isn’t right either? What if you have everything in your little experiment you call “life” figured out, and you forgot one factor that screws it all up (you know like if you miscalculated the critical mass of plutonium and the bomb went off in your lab instead of the deserts of Utah)…all well, at least there were the 60′s…because that was a productive decade…

Hey teenagers…grow up…

and young adult that still thinks they’re a teenager…pull your pants up, spit the cigarette out, and do something productive…

aka, grow up

Brand New (No Not the Band)

So there is this really amazing design site that goes through Logo updates for companies around the world and discusses them. Brand New. Most of the time they are real, but many times they’re just fake mock ups. The cool part is (well cool if your into that kind of thing) they’ll have the old and new logo’s right next to each other so you can see the changes.

MOST of the time they are very legit and professional, however today’s just made me laugh =)

Down to Earth

I think the thing I love most about Ace Enders, even when he was in The Early November, is his ability to bring music back down to earth. There isn’t anything fake or superficial about his music. He has just pure musical talent and the ability to speak the truth in an effective way…

Great song with beautiful cinematography. I would have embeded it into the post, but WORDPRESS IS LAME!!!

So Kari wanted to actually start using her blog (she started one during her internship b/c they made her since the storm knocked off her availability to the news station)…so she is using that now to blog it up…I post on there sometimes…on here still. The Church is on the Move!

Last year, while Kari and I were still attending BYU, we went to a presentation that one of her Communications Profs put on. He was the head of the church’s advertising campaign. The new campaign was amazing. The media promotions were very direct, stylish, and appealing to the target audience (obviously the whole world =) j/k). They had already completed tons of research and started test marketing in certain cities. I left excited to see it move forth. A lot of the campaign can be seen by visiting Mormon.org

Well today, I was visiting a website to brush up on my web design skills and low and behold…

When you click on it, it brings you to Mormon.org and you can request a free copy of The Book of Mormon.

The Honeymoon

Well Kari and I didn’t really want to go very far for our honeymoon, so as lame as it sounds we just went to Houston. However, it was nice to just have a break from life and stress and just relax. We left Saturday night after the reception and made it to Houston around 11ish. We stayed in northern Houston around 1960 and I-45. So Sunday we just took it easy and relaxed. We went to church that afternoon (I know some of you think that’s lame, but I think its lame to get married in the temple and think you can skip church the next day just so you can have sex…that’s right I said what all of you were thinking)…anyways I digress.

Monday- We woke up sometime in the morning (my wife is not a morning person so I have no idea what time it actually was) and then we went to IHOP accross the way and ate breakfast. Afterward, we went hunting for a Wal Mart, which in Houston could take quite some time. It was mid afternoon by the time we got back and so we decided to go see a movie. Kari actually wasn’t feeling all that well, so we didn’t want to do too much. We went and saw Twilght. It was ok. After that we went and grabbed Sonic for dinner and called it a night.

Tuesday- The day we actually started doing stuff. We went to the temple around 11 I think and had a wonderful session.

Houston, Texas Temple

It was really beautiful that day, I actually wish it had looked like that the day we got married. Maybe if it hadn’t had been so early in the morning.

After the temple we went to the hotel and changed and then headed to the Woodlands Mall. We shopped around for a bit. I bought a T-shirt, which you’ll see in later pictures. Then we went to dinner at the most amazing place on earth…

Salt Grass Steakhouse

Wed- Well we found out in the morning that the person who took our reservation over the phone screwed up and we were suppose to check out that day (we set it till Thurs morning so we could come home and be home for Thanksgiving). So we told it them it was not a problem, we would just head home today. So we packed everything quickly and checked out. Then we headed to downtown where we went to the Aquarium and to the Museum of Natural Science. Both were pretty fun. The Aquarium was kind of small to tell you the truth. Then we headed home and caught a movie with Kim, Adam, Caryn, and her kids. Madagascar 2…not a winner if you were wondering. Well that was the trip!
